This page explains what Markell Designs, LLC collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what we do and do not do with it. It is written to describe this site specifically, not as boilerplate.

There are only two ways this website collects anything about you.
The contact form. When you fill in the form on our contact page you give us your name, phone number and email address, and optionally the type of project you have in mind, how you heard about us, and whatever you write in the message box. You choose what to put there. We ask for the phone number and email address because they are how we get back to you.
Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It sets cookies in your browser and records things like your approximate location, the type of device and browser you are using, which page you arrived from, and how long you stayed. We use this to understand which parts of the site are useful. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not try to connect it to the inquiries that come through the form.
We use what you send through the form to answer your inquiry, quote your project, and stay in touch about that project. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing you did not ask for.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, provide services, maintain appropriate business records, and comply with legal obligations. If you would rather we deleted yours, ask and we will.
Three services touch this site, and it is worth naming them plainly.
Each of these has its own privacy terms. We do not give any of them your information for their own purposes.
This site does not take payments, does not have user accounts or logins, and does not run advertising or advertising trackers.
The only cookies this site sets are the Google Analytics ones. Nothing on the site breaks if you block them. Every current browser lets you refuse or delete cookies in its settings, and Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site at once.
This site is for homeowners planning kitchen and bathroom work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
We link out to our Facebook, Instagram, Houzz and review profiles. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else’s website under their privacy policy, not ours.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@markelldesigns.com or call (480) 447-3500 and we will take care of it. You do not need a reason and there is no charge.
If we change how any of this works we will update this page and change the date at the top. There is no version buried elsewhere; this page is the whole policy.
